| The peak power rating of the turbines
(above) is nominal (will be exceeded at
times). It's lower than most turbines of the equivalent
size. But what actually matters more is the energy production per
month in kWh units. I like to put more effort into the blades and
less into the alternator as this gives more consistent energy supplies
by emphasising low winds. "I've just read the meter for just under 6 months metered running, its made 2.26 kwh/day. Thats on the end of a 80m cable run at 12volts. No maintenance needed either!" Nick Green's 2400 wind turbine at
